If there is a guarantee the RED (true Red) can be developed easily, then i would choose body first :tounge_smile:

However, since lookin at own experience and hundreds of others :thinking: ... so many frustated to bring the True Red color out of the body... especially us who keep aros in aquarium inside the house.
I would go for the color first :tounge_smile: .. then body :tounge_smile:

Body first for me. Colour can be enhanced with food and TLC. If the body is not nice, no matter how much effort you put in, it will not change much.

Sometimes, the red are fed with colour enhancer and the colour fake away a few weeks later. So play safe, body first for me.

Hehe.. it all depends on the age and size of the SR. If its a baby below 7", we can't see much of the colour rite? So, it means the body is more important cos the colour will develope as it grow and if its an adult SR, no matter how colourful it is but if its protruding lower jaw, thin and long body and etc then its not nice too and if it has a very nice body shape but very pale in colour and not crossing 6th level its also useless. Don't forget, not all aros colouration will be nice even after tanning. So, it means body still comes 1st...:wink_smile:

Some of us will have this answer of wanting the body shape first but later wait and wait but colour don't come so how? :thinking2: No patient to wait any longer ..... finally sell away. :sad_smile:

Some of us want colour first so at least body shape not so nice (not defect hor) but at least fish RED RED! Still happy and can talk a little ...... when asked! :teeth_smile:

actually both also very important for arowana when choosing a fish. The shape of the fish is very important and also the colour, take for example a super red when u see like white white than u will not even think of buying right, if the colour is super nice but the shape of the arowana a bit out, will you also think of looking or buying ?

Jardini,Banjar,Green,Silver They'r all also have good bodys....but they don't have a cool colour like Super Red and Golden!So if you like the body then why don't you just buy Jardini,Green or Banjar that have good bodys :tounge_smile: !I'm keeping SR and Golden becoz I love the colour...RED and GOLD :thumbs_up: !There is no SR,if there's no RED :thinking: ....There is no Xback or RTG,if there's no GOLD :thinking: ...and there is no $$$.So for me the colour is more important then the body :teeth_smile: .
