bro, from what i heard is that min. size tank is 4x2x2feet. but best the bigger the better. if u put your aro in 4x1.5x1.5 for quite kong time, your aro can be stunted. try to get the bigger tank, that within your budget, so that no need for u to upgrade if your aro oledi big

bigger is better.

tank too small can cause overturned gill and cannot grow big.

The thickness of the tank is also important as the aro may knock onto the glass sometimes. 4x1.5x1.5 tank is normally 6mm thickness. You need at least 10mm and above.

It is better to get a 4x2x2 tank.

Hi bro, to me i think is too small for arowana of 20inch to be in a 4ft x 18 x 18 tank, the width also damm small fish already 20inch width only 18inch, really poor thing to the fish, best go for 4ft x 2ft x 2ft 10mm all, at least it got more swimming space. or at least can go for 4ft x 2ft(w) x 1.5ft(H) :) hope bigger tank the better especially for arowana ..... this will give better swimming space for the arowana and also better for the growth. Hope this help u bro :)
