Did you guys see River Monsters on Discovery last night? This time it was about Arapima gigas:D. The guy caught a huge one. It seems that AG jumps a lot. Have any of you guys experienced this in your tanks? If they jump like that in a tank then they cant be kept in a tank I guess....

I'm waiting for the episode on Alligator Gar and hopefully Amazon Arowana. Have any of you guys seen this already?

arapiama gigas are not ideal for ordinary tank. i can only imagine what size of tank do a 7 footer arapaima needs.

Yeap, saw it the other night... imagine if that arapaima hit him in the head... :D the small one at the pond is enough to knock someone unconscious... :p

Btw, alligator gar already featured last month... as far as I know amazon arawana isn't featured in this 1st season series... the DVD already out if you're interested... and I believe it won't be featured... as it's not considered dangerous to human... he only cover monster fish that has a possibility to harm/eat human being... :022:

I saw the alligator gar one on youtube. Shame that he is not showing arowana. He seems to like a lot of catfish though :P.

How many man eating fish can there be in the amazon?

Yeah imagine if the arapaima hit him on the head :) The show would have a new host. ;)
