That's the best idea. By reducing much of ur time and money spent on aros may convince ur wife of the present situation. I do believe most married hobbyist faced the same problem including me only that we have to control ourselves in overdoing it.

I guess ur wife is not that unreasonable in objecting ur hobby otherwise she will object u in rearing the 1st aro in the beginning. The number of fishes u keep already reveals how much time and money u had put in.

Bro Aro_RTG89 made a very good suggestion by selling off some of ur fishes and plan out a holiday trip instead:thumbs_up: . By giving away the fishes will instil a loss in her trust in ur future investment.

My advice is just to keep 1 or 2 high quality fishes will do. So sad that this had occured. Hope this problem of urs will come to a compromise between u and ur wife.

Bro, I married and have kid too. My wife will nag initially, but now Ok.
What I do is to invest in good filter system so to reduce the sequence in changing water. Keep it neat and just keep the few better 1(this also reduce the bio load). Sell away the rest( u can used the $ on the filteration, a holiday or buy ur wife a surprise present( hint to her, that u earn some $ from selling ur fishes, then she will think at least u r not wasting $ in ur hobby).althought, it may not the case when we sell.

I nornally attend to my family 1st, when my wife n kid slept then I handle my fishes.I think u r like me, there is no STOP sign in buying(when nice just buy).Maybe what u can do is , limit the number of fishes, when u got a new 1 , 1 old 1 have to go(to give or sell).
Hope my practice will help u to stay on this hobby. cheer....;P
