I make my own food that seems to be good for color. I use the following:
- 2 kg of raw market prawns
- 0.5 kg smelts
- 0.5 kg anchovies
- 2-4 cups floating aro food (New Life Spectrum ExLg Fish Formula)
- 1 cupfrozen spiniach
- 1 cup shelled frozen peas
- 2-3 carrots
With food processor blend one iteam at a time to mud like consistancy, blend together in large bowl, add gelitin to bind and freeze in large zip lock bags. For feeding break into small pieces and let soften at room temp then feed. Sometimes I add superworms and crikets to mix aswell. My Aro's and then rest of my fish love this stuff, It is just a little bit gross making it.

Yes, it is a big project however one batch last about 3 months or more and only costs about $10-15/month to feed 8 Aro's, 2 rays and a flurry of clown loaches and plecos.
