My SR had this problem. What I did was :-

1. Lower water down to 25%.
2. STOP feeding him. Actually he did not eat for one full month.
3. I put Epson salt as suggested by bro Kaix.
4. Water change everyday.

Now it is coming to second month after his treatment. He starts to eat again but I feed him just enough and try not to overfeed the fish. I suspect the main course of SBP was overfeeding him in the first place.

He has improve a great deal but sometimes hopping up for air. I am still keep on this treatment for at least a month. Anyway, you may try what I did and hope your aro will improve soon. It certainly need patience in curing SBP.

have to depend, if it's internal injury it's very difficult to recover, if it's just air when into the stomach just throw some epsom salt and heater will do..

I ever heard my fren saying the aro having SBP after jumping from tank...but it cured after few months later. I think if natural SBP, it can't rally cure, but if caused by other factor in later stage...the chanes of curing is there. IMHO...

It certainly take a long time to cure SBP. I am still working on my aro on that. The good news is he is improving everyday. Overfeeding is one of the main cause, so now I am very careful in the amount of food I feed him.

Bros, I regret to inform you that SBP has returned to my SR. It has now been 3 months since the treatment started. I might have to give up on him

Bros, my US$1,300 for SR has gone down the drain. Now I need the same amount for the new one. It is not that I want to abandon him while he is ill but the fact is to see him suffering like this is killing me
