Cause i wanted to add a little bit of decoration in my Aro tank with some white sands in it. And the Lfs owner said that if i put white sand/gravel, my Aro will start to be distracted with it and always look down end up with a droop eye.

my tank is very bare/plain with black oyama sticker at the back and side of my tank...Its very very dark and dull. =(


Any ideas?

Funny your LFS told you that. Im keeping my RTG with rays on white sand. That means lots of dirstraction from below according to the lfs. No drop eye tho and it doesnt seem the aro is distracted by whats happening below at all. Still king of the tank. Sheis around 16" now.
I think white looks great! I have a gro-lux light and filter media which makes the whole water look white.

Gravel does not cause DE at all. But if you wana put in sand must remember to clean the dirt inside it during wc.
