Anybody know what should the proper way to tan the RTG ?? Some say Sylvania, some TFC and so on. I'm just trying to minimize cost. Thanks.

may be you can try feed meal worms with those fish red food patel.
Then those mealworms that are red in color to your RTG.

y u want to tann Gold aro?.. play wif light sure u get the best viewing..of ur RTG:teeth_smile:

use the common aq lamp can already... like TFC Hitachi.. hatciii hehe :)

refrain from tanning your RTG for too long durations. it might result in it being "over-tanned". causing the back to be really dark. once darkened, its irreversible...

I thought RTG need not need to tann, we onli tann the REDs to enhaunce the colour. If we tann the RTG, the back will be baked liao...

Guys...honestly i did once tann my RTG with Atinic Blue ( Phillip ) and seems to be working. The Gold Color on every scales looked more shiny. Pls correct me if i'm wrong....or it was only my own opinion.

Perhaps its true for those scales that already have shine. Tanning helps to bring out the colour even more. But for those parts of the scales where its still dark, no shine yet, perhaps tanning will darken them even more. Thus making the shine not easy to appear.

Personal experience for a piece of TY under constant tanning. :tounge_smile:

Agreed that the result of this continious tanning will make the scale which was already dark become deeper.

Bro...to be honest. I think such as SR, RTG, Hiback RTG that need to be tann. For the rest kind of Aro no need such a tann.

my personal oppinion.

SR tan top,side,bottom which ever you can tan.
XB,RTG,HighBack no need tan, if you want only side or bottom tan.

i do not know abt 'tanning' rtg...but ever since i uses the nan lights..place at the side of my tanks....can see 'gold' shine a bit better n more 'intense'....i seldom uses the top light as need to lift up the heavy wood cover...anyway got the nan lights from my 4th brother(FOC)so just use it.....pic attached....u can see the nan light at the tank front(outside).....
