Ok, use medication to treat your aro first, after aro recovered then do water change and add carbon.

carbon is good to remove any adour.....and always your water will be clearer...

I've used it recently it was inside my tank for 2 weeks and found out that my aro's head near the first scale there is a pal whitish color . Than a parasite grew from there, strang looking white worm like thingy. Immediately took AC out and on heater. 1 day later its gone

All my filter system I use AC, My fishes seem ok:thinking:

I was once told by Mr Yap Kim Choon of Qian Hu aros will not develop much colour if use AC as media filter. He could not explained what is the actual reason.

I do not use AC... it needs to be changed regularly... more for the purpose of removing any medication or odour...

heard that it causes HITH too... not too sure though...
