as what we all are facing the symptom above are quite often happen to arowana when either poor water quality, parasite attached or overdose of medicine cause cloudy eyes

so the solution for me is quite hard to find but here is the detail:-

white spot aka ich, japanese yellow power overdose and cloudy eye
often this bugger are hard to eliminate due to fast and vast population growth rate, as we all know this parasite has a life time of 2days upon the hatching from the slime stage to find a host. Normally all people would like to have eliminate but have very slow success rate by using normal melinate blue. step to further improves are

1) removal of all filter medium for 1 week
2) increase temperature to 31 ~ 33'C
3) constant water change at 30 ~ 40% every 2 days
4) salt as conditioner
5) quickcure as chemical remedy
6) off light to reduce stress of the arowana

try it you will not regret this clear info, in 1 ~ 2 week your beloved arowana will be cured good as new

Good info.

I have a question. Must we do all the steps all at one go?

Thanks

I have done it all at one go, it cured my aro exactly in 10days, if one step for example chemical treatment is not being used it may take you much longer time. :kekeke:

cause of cloudy eye are normally relates to poor water quality whereby the Kh and pH.
my arowana CE due to Japanese Yellow Powder. so water change constantly and all the steps mention earlier is the best to cure the CE.

well we are here to share and learn, before my arowana was cured, I have tried almost everything from the list single step by step. to no avail the CE was actually stayed there for almost 2 months without any improvement :031: :argh: .

after a while a have made up my mind to actually improves the method to actually assure high water quality and correct method of clearing the CE. which leads to the healing of the CE in 10days with the methology improves below.

the severity of the CE is total devistation whereby the both eye of the arowana was cover in white slim till the pupil is total not visible, the tickness of the CE is at least 3mm from the original lence of the arowana eye. but upon following of the above listed steps and constant water parameter checking, all CE is clear and my red arowana is back to normal :want: :red:

but one thing did happen though, my arowana had to much  sleep, color become a bid fade from orange red to light pinkish red :011: :surprise: now on back to routine tanning.

hope this helps

Patience and follow the routine, Your aro will be good soon, again water quality is the main problem, I would suggest that there a auto water change at 1% of the tank volume every day. it like the nature control on the Ph and Kh condition, thinking of setup this condition soon to my Tank this will hinder ammonia build movement water volume as below in in calculated valume of 350liter tank

volume outflow = 8.00%
valume inflow = 8.01% [+evaporation rate 0.01% 24hrs light on, environment and heater]

1ml for every 3 sec drop rate from outflow to tank
1m l for every 2.5sec drop rate for inflow to tank

water flow will be from 4 X drinking water filteration system which remove clorine and other micro bakteria and dirt.

PS:- sure get kick from wife for setup this condition -.-
eg water bill lah filter expensivelah every thing sure get thow out lol :boss:

Bro,
Pls help to explain further on cloudy eye. Does the eye swell up? I had overdose of Jap Yellow Powder becoz of lice. Put in 2 satchets over two days and left it there for next 3 days, w/o changing water. All the fish then had blood streaks on fins and tails.
We changed 30% water every 3 days and added half pack of salt. It helped to relief stress on all the fish and the blood streaks and lice and white spots seemed to clear. Only problem now is my aro's right eye became cloudy and swelled up like balloon or bubble. Can it be cured using your method? Pls advise, as I now desperate.

Thanks in advance......hano

ahaha, long time no on9 already, but see bro hano here has the same destress as what I have when though. wow bro 2 sachets that for 3 days that are surely over dosing it.

Ok about coudly eye which cause by JYPowder causes the membrane of the cell to remove any type of harmful bacteria. you can see that most bacteria is form though thick yellow slime [dead bacteria cells] like in the top of the water.

during this loss of good backteria the cell of the fish eye expose though certain stress which will cause water retention and claudiness which u can see that the eye seem to pop out. this can only be cured with proper method of water management.

to stress it you should have change water 80% daily to make sure that the JYPowder is remove immediately from any element in the tank to further damage and stress the membrane of the fish eye.

after it clear start the routine and hopefully the aro eye will come back to normal [if severely inflated, then if maybe deformed]

sorry for the late reply, lately job is soo stressful lol

Personally, I'm not really keen on using the Japanese yellow powder for curing cloudy eyes, as it actually CAUSED my aro's eyes cloudy.
My aro had also got cloudy eyes a few times before, so I just made 1/3 water change (dechlorinated water), added Furan 2 (capsule) and plain salt (not table salt). After adding that Furan 2, I let my aro fast for 2 days, then let him eat food again before adding another dose of Furan 2. Before I added any new dose of Furan 2, I had always made 1/3 water change. I found that this approach really worked on curing my aro's cloudy eyes.

Cheers,
