it can recover itself.
check ur pH, usual pH drop can cause chip scale.
just maintain the water quality then it will recover faster.

i will recommend change at least 20% to 30% of water, stop or reduce feeding....normally i change every other days, till the chipped scales develop further

Normally the best PH is around 7.0 - 7.5 with stable heat 30 C.

my red also got chipped scale, due to PH crashed, hence i use CC to buffer the PH again, but heard from ppl,CC will also coz red to chipped it scale due to it increase the water hardness which will coz red to itches and start rubbing itself.so beside CC to buffer PH is there any other alternative??

Don't worry it will take time to heal as long u add in coral chip and feed the aro with shell food and do water change 1 week 3 time it will heal
