Maybe no deco at all is the best for aro considering no harmful material for aro and easier to maintain.

Think it all boils down to individual preferences.
Things to look out for will be, after putting in the decorations, will there be ample space for the arowana to swim?
& the ease of maintenance wiith having decoration.
Some like to have substrate in the tank, which requires good maintenance. If you have plants, must also take care that you do not leave them to rot in the tank.

Yeahhh... the best for aro is no deco at all inside the tank. Sometime it hurts by hitting the pump when chasing the live diet

A bare tank with nice back ground (wallaper) and perfect lighting will be enought...
