It's been like this for the last 3-4 days.

The opened wound the fish body looks like an ulcer ! It's called an ulcer disease, and it's caused by bacterial pathogens , or severed stresses bring on by adverse environmental conditions could also be a significant factor that could lead to an outbreak in ulcer . You should treat an ulcer immediately and aggressively because if left alone, your fish would be more prone to secondary infection .

1. Eliminate any stressful conditions if there is/are any in the tank .

2. Immediately improve tank's water quality by performing a 30-40% water change .

3. Since there is already an opened wound on the body of your fish, chances are it's experiencing some osmotic stress as well, so you should go ahead administer a prolonged salt bath for a 2-3 days (300-500g of aquarium salt/ 100 liters) to alleviate osmotic stress being experienced by the fish, and also help to prevent any chances of secondary infection by fungi .

4. While the fish is in salt bath treatment, since this is a bacterial infection>>>> an antibiotic therapy is also appropriate . The medication to use is oxytetracycline/tetracycline ( or more commonly known as the yellow powder) . 2-3g of tetracycline/100 liters . The treatment duration should be 5-7 days long with ~30% of water change, and medication administration every other day .

5. Increase your tank's temp to 33 degree C, and increase your tank's aeration, because the amount of dissolved oxygen will be less with the increased in temperature .

6. Don't try to feed your fish during the treatment duration, because your fish is not going to eat anyway .

Good luck bro . :hand:

P.S. If you want to save money on the medication and efforts, you should transfer the fish to a smaller tank size/hospital tank, where the tank's volume would be more managable .

There's some improvement. The wound kinda heal up. Even though I'm suspecting there's a fungus on the wound.
