i own a 9 inch green aro. I noticed for the past 2 days that it always settles on one corner of the aquarium. looks like it is scared of something. didn't also eat for 2 days now.
i do regular weekly water change ( 20% aged water ). been very active since i got it 5 months ago, with good appetite till this past few days. What could be the problem? need advise from you guys.

maybe the fish stressed... just check the water parameter.. switch off the lamp first and put some black water...

do 50% water change with aged water.

thanks for the advise. will add black water and do 50% WC with aged water.
could outside environment affect my aro? i did some re-arrangement of my furniture near the aquarium. i placed it nearby temporarily while my other room is being fixed.

Some are timid and some are not. Guess yours belong to the timid category...give it some time.

i checked ph of the water. its above 7.5. could this be the cause of sudden change in behaviour of my aro? have a driftwood and placed dried ketapang leaves to lower the ph .
presently, my filtration includes 1 fluval 404 series canister power filter with pump output of 1300 liters/hr and an ohf with a powerhead 1200( venturi aeration). is this enough for a 100 gal aquarium? tankmates are the following: 1 fei feng, 2 blood parrots, 1 albino pleco, 4 mono sabae.
any suggestions as to how i can improve water parameter?

richardesc....maybe the cold climate we are having now in the Philippines is making arowana lethargic? In my experience some of my fishes tend to eat less and stay at a corner doing cold weather.
