But the spammer can still type the URL instead of link.

Maybe restrict new user cannot use free email account like yahoo, hotmail etc to register as new member.

What if some one don't want to use their company email to register?

Just a suggestion which I had seem being used in other forum.

Maybe a non-free email account should be used to register but the user can later change to any email account later. This way, we are able to stop spamming better. Spammers can't have so many paid email account and we can trace and block the spammers from registering multiple accounts.

The new user can use their company email account to register but later change to a free email account.

the system will detect the links and change it to other text. so let try it a while.. ok ?

about block free email , no need.. it is unfair for the people who want to join.. nothing wrong with the email only the person who like to spam the forum.

Chief, maybe add the minimum post requirement in the system message which replaced the user link message. We don't want good bros who wanted to join our forum were shocked by the system message and don't logon anymore.
