hallo
when you put a carbon active in the filter as a filter media why it can make our aro head be rot ? anything wrong with a carbon? i buy a good quality one said its a import carbon active, confused me much.now i m afraid to take a carbon active in my aq.
if we put carbon active in the boiling water before put in aq can it help to avoid a head rot?tx. btw special thank to mr.Hendri for an advised, he... me just a beginner in aro lover.

I've read in other forum that carbon active can cause hole in the head because carbon also absorb important minerals from the water (CMIIW).

no medication or salt is advisable when yr aquarium has AC.....and normally AC..........should change everymth

I use chemi pure instead of activated carbon more expensive but I think it lasts longer and is a better product

me too after putting chemi pure for about 3 days then my red aro got hole on the head . why ? anyone know ? How to cure ? pls advice

Bro i advice you don't put carbon in your aro tank. It will give you problems.
