my first arowana was a silver I found him to be very skittish if I approached the tank to fast he would freak out but I never gave him a tank mate . I think if you introduce other tank mates at a early age you will be ok . I sold my arowana to a pet store and they put him in a tank with other fish he slammed the glass so much that he broke it and was found dead the next day on the floor. I recently went to a pet store with about 12 arowanas in a tank with silvers and australians and they looked very peacefull

My first aro was a silver I found them to be less aggressive than most breed of aro. I did find that they are very skittish I sold back to fish store they put in tank with other fish and the next day he broke the glass lid and jumped out of the tank
