I use TFC light 20 watt for tank size 110x60x60 cm, light is on for 12 hour at night.
I think too strong light will cause DE

I am using TFC 4x40 watt for Aq 200x80x70 cm at night. Direct sunlight to aq in the morning for 2 hrs. The result is..... green water:tounge_smile:

I think a normal double tube whilte light will do, of cos sunlight is the best...
TFC lighting really can tan arowana red?

u want a solid tan, i think MH can also be used but can't use for long period....haha:thinking2:

TFC is enough already.. but if u want intensive tanning u can try 10,000 - 20,000 K light .

TFC is enough already.. but if u want intensive tanning u can try 10,000 - 20,000 K light .
Hendri, Should I use 12000 - 20000k and with RED colour. How long should I leave it on for the yuong 15 - 20 cm Super red.

Best light for red arowana, sunlight if you have it outdoor :) but not everyone have outdoor pond. Another way to tannnn arowana we call it PL lighting, some with 2 tube some with 4tube, can use PL light to tannn arowana. Is like a replacement for sunlight.

I ever heard ppl using MH for Reds, rally tan, but just for a short period orlese will be over tanned liao..

I use nan light casing with D3 light tube inside for tanning of Red. TFC is more for viewing of Red. Alternatively, use white FL tube with 10K and above or PL light with 10K above will also do the job.

Best light for red arowana, sunlight if you have it outdoor :) but not everyone have outdoor pond. Another way to tannnn arowana we call it PL lighting, some with 2 tube some with 4tube, can use PL light to tannn arowana. Is like a replacement for sunlight.Well said.......
