check this image below. sharp enough, right ?

i shot thousands of arowana pictures..and i learn and learn again..

see other arowana magazines like pratapad and i realize photo using flash is the best to see the real color of the fish and the result is sharp crispy !!

very good choice for offset printing.

if we not use flash, yes we see redder fish but not sharp and no good for offset printing.

just sharing :wekk:

use DSLR camera. i prefer canon.

use sharp lens. i use 50mm f/1.4 canon or L series lens.

use flash..

must do a lot of shot before u can control the result u want :)

Good fast lens - f1.4. Is Nikon good if compare to Canon in terms of body and lens.:what:

Good fast lens - f1.4. Is Nikon good if compare to Canon in terms of body and lens.

It's hard to compare both fans have their own opinion, from my point of view...

Canon has better technology in their DSLR body (best DSLR body in the world now is DEFINITELY still Canon EOS 1 Ds Mk-II & EOS 1 D Mk-II N / largest megapixel & fastest),

while Nikon is better in lens (but sharpest lens in the world is ARGUABLY not Nikon),
myself a Nikon user, I feel Nikon is improving fast, D200 is one of the best semipro DSLR today

once again, that's from my point of view...

Bro, Canon system is more than ok to shoot anything, u can't be wrong choosing them... they even have the widest range of lens to choose...

I also like photography, maybe not just liking them but loving them...
what canon are u using now bro? the capture looks great

Nikon D200 ; many analog cameras & lenses

I'm a photography freak as a hobby but still new in digital bro, for personal reasons prefer not to jump in to digital until D200 came up, can't help it anymore, too "irresistable" for me... just bought D200 few weeks ago, wait until the price is low :011:
still so much to learn doing photoshop...

HI Hendri,

i am still exploring my DC capabilities to produce better pictures.
I was wondering do you have knowledge of this model: Canon SD400?
Can that model produce something close to yours?

i was experimenting to get clear pics. Currently the pics i took seems like can't "keep up" with the fish swimming:016:

thanks.

try set to manual setting. what lens do u use ?

make sure the light is enough in the aquarium or buy f/1.4 or f/1.2 lens like 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.2 . it helps when u shoot in low light condition
