Have just set up a new tank with sump. Total capacity is around 800 L, this is inclusive of sump. Tank has been running around 2 weeks, added 3 silver dollar to test the water and all is ok. Yesterday i obtained a PH and GH reading. The PH is sitting steady at 8.10 and the GH is around 100 ppm. Prior to moving an Aro in this tank, i wish to know if it safe to keep this fish at a constant PH of 8.10

Bro, it depends on what Aro u r rearing. Its okay for a Malaysian Golden between
Ph 6 ~ 8 but if u r rearing Super Red its advisable to keep it between 6 ~ 6.5

in general aros are kept between 6 - 7.2 pH

8 is too high is it not? Are using Coral Chips in your setup?

In Singapore, we mainly maintain the Ph between 6 to 7.5..
