i saw in Japannese magazine.. they useing metal hilide for theri arowanas and the color is awesome...
do you think it is good for the arowanas especially super red and gold ?

Yup normally used for marine fish cos the corals those need strong light, the MH can caused your electrical bill to shoot hi up, be prepared.....

Maybe you can visit C328 and along that stretch, there is one newly open marine fish shop. You can see they use on top hanging above their display tank.

Someone told me that MH will make their fis to be Drop-eye. I use Lamp which has 12000k such as KOWA , Toshiba

seldom people do that as is very exp and also electricity also high. And also the light is too strong for the tank too. Water temp all will increase too hot. Cheaper can go for PL light , T5 or nan light.
Not neccessary unless you like to burn $$$$. Typically, fishes doesn't requires much light unless for tanning purposes. MH is more suitable for those that requires light for photosynthesis or those SW corals.:011:

My friend had tried once with his super red. The problem that you have to feat was water's temperature that will increase around 3-5 Celcius. :argh:

Not rally in singapore, onli certain lfs have it, not all the lfs....
