my red tail catfish eat a sucker once, and my maid saw the sucker stuck in the inner mouth, when i came home from office i was inform the news i take out the fish and luckily the sucker still stuck in the inner mouth beyond the gill , i took a plier and plied it out. if ur fish swallowed one i think u have to thing up a way to get it out, since its a rubber and it is not digestable, and it might stuck in ur fish stomach forever.. good luck..

Open the aro mouth if you can see the rubber try pull it out using pinset, otherwise go to profesional vet to perform surgery.

After viewing the other thread about aro throwing peebles after swallowing them for several months maybe the best thing to do is waiting until the aro throws up the rubber.
