For me i prefer normal aquarium lighting, or pink light FL.

One warm light and one that has some slightly pink (eg Arcadia fresh water lamp FL) :thumbs_up:

this brand not many place sell in SG


i prefer daylight, coolwhite or warmlight for RTG & XB..:)

I am using Hitachi Aquarium Lamp for my SR/CR which in pinkish in color...

me using tri-combi lights....top 1 white n 1 slight pink.....outside the tank hanging nan light for my 3 arow tanks...BUT seldom ON...xcept when feeding n viewing only......my LFS(cck) got sell the sylvania tubes...may be might try BUT the present tubes has to wear off 1st...if not wifey very noisy lah....

I use sun glo in the middle and TFC at the back of the tank, reason, sunglo will shine the gold and tfc will give extra colour to the tail and fin.
If you put the tfc in front, the whole body will be reddish.

I think power consumption too high plus heat generated is too high.

but no harm in trying.

I thought RTG and xback used onli normal lighting will do liao , onli Reds u need to tan so that to bring out the colour...:022:

I think any combination of white , pinkish and purple lights will bring out and present the colors of Rtg and Xback very nicely .

bluish lights I have seen even green ones. Purple ones I have yet to come across :011: :011:

white light its ok for rtg....
